Finance FAQs

What’s a Service Plan?

With a Service Plan all your scheduled services will be paid for during the contract period, inclusive of labour.

Any wear and tear parts including brake pads, and shock absorbers will not be covered by the Service Plan, and the cost associated with this will be charged for your account.

What parts are covered by a scheduled Service Plan?

All scheduled Services as specified by the manufacturer inclusive of labour charges are covered.

These include: Air filter, fuel filter, oil filter and spark plugs. Each part as stipulated at each service interval
in your Service Plan handbook will be covered by the Service Plan for the period of your contract.
What else is covered by a Service Plan?

All Services as per the Manufacturer's Handbook, inclusive of all replacement parts specified at each
service interval.
When is a Service Plan due?

You’ll find out by looking in your Servicing Schedule handbook which is in the glove compartment of your vehicle.

It’s imperative that you familiarise yourself with the servicing requirements of your vehicle. By adhering to the service requirements you’ll be making sure that that your TATA always performs at its best.

What happens if I’m late or early for a scheduled service?

A maximum allowance of 200kms on either side of the stipulated interval will be permitted. Please bear in mind that servicing within the required intervals is optimal.

By bringing your vehicle in more than 2000kms after a scheduled service is due, you are effectively abusing the vehicle and damaging parts that needed to be serviced at the required interval.

Adhering to the scheduled servicing requirements means that your Service Plan and/or Maintenance Plan, together with your Manufacturers’ Warranty, will remain valid for the full specified period.

I’ll do more than the inclusive kilometers before I sell my vehicle. Can I extend my Plan?

If your Service / Maintenance Plan only covers you for a period of 3 years / 60 000kms, and you know that you will cover more than 60 000kms in the three years before you sell your vehicle, you have the option of extending your Service/Maintenance Plan.

Should you wish to finance your vehicle as well as the Service Plan and Maintenance Plan all together, please see the Service Plan and Maintenance Plan to view the extensions available,

You can extend your Service Plan to any period up to 5 years / 200 000kms and your Maintenance Plan to a maximum of 5 years / 150 000kms.

Can I finance the cost of extending my Service / Maintenance Plan?

Yes.

When arranging your car finance with your finance house, you’re welcome to include the cost of the extension into the financing agreement with your bank.
How will I benefit if I extend the Plan today?

By purchasing the extension today, you are purchasing Labour Rates and part prices at 2009 pricing.

This means that you are "fixing" your servicing costs and the price you paid today will stay the same, regardless of inflation or price increases.
What does Service Plan cover? Can I pay extra and upgrade it to a Maintenance Plan?

A Service plan covers all scheduled services, which means that wear and tear parts like shock absorbers, brake pads and wiper blades .will NOT be paid for by your Service Plan.

The cost associated with replacing these parts together with the labour will be billed to you and payable by you when you collect the car.

UPGRADE to a Maintenance Plan!

Here’s how …

If you would like to ensure that you are covered for all wear and tear parts together with being covered for all your scheduled services, UPGRADE your Service Plan to a Maintenance Plan.

You can UPGRADE your service plan to a Maintenance plan for any period up to 5 years / 150 000kms.

Your finance house can arrange for the cost of the extension to be included into your finance agreement.
