The main use to which a 3 L worker is put is carrying loads. They generally have large loading bays behind the drivers cabin or cockpit. A 3 L worker is also able to tow much larger trailers than a smaller engine vehicle for exactly the same reason that it can carry larger loads in its loading bay.

So a 3 L worker is a very useful vehicle to have if you happen to own horses and have a need to transport them with fair frequency, say to shows or other events, and also if you need to frequently move large loads around.
